Financial Planning

Why do you need a Financial Plan?

Financial Planning with a Certified Financial Planner™ Professional takes the guesswork out of your finances by following our process. Our Financial Planning Process is focused on your goals and not on product sales. We follow the same process with each client and adapt it to your specific needs.

Bucholtz & Germos' Financial Planning Process...

Step One: Agree how to work together. By clearly defining our relationship, the focus of our efforts, and disclosing expected costs, we can eliminate surprises and make certain we are meeting your planning goals.

Step Two: Gather information about your finances and set goals. As Yogi Berra said, "If you don't know where you are going, you will end up someplace else." We believe that by having our clients explain and visualize what is most important to them, we can help them make better financial decisions that move them towards their long-term goals.

Step Three: Analyze, strategize and problem-solve. According to Charles Kettering, "a problem well stated is a problem half-solved." Define your goals, analyze your available financial resources, and we will determine the best use of your available resources to meet your goals.

Step Four: Present recommendations. Our job is to communicate what we know about how you can better reach your financial goals in a way you can understand and feel confident in your decisions. We avoid using industry jargon and present solutions in a way clients can understand. Whether it is investing, taxes, estate and beneficiary planning, or technical financial planning solutions we present the advantages and disadvantages of our recommendations in a way you can understand.

Step Five: Implement your plan. Ralph Waldo Emerson once said that "One ounce of action is worth a ton of theory." A plan without action is simply wasted opportunity. By following the first four steps, our clients are confident of the importance of taking action and we are there to assist.

Step Six: Monitor progress and adjust over time. By forming a long-term relationship, we are able to make sure you are staying on track, and if needed, we can make adjustments over time.
